Lifeguard Recertification Class- April 4th

Lifeguard Recertification Course
All participants must have an active American Red Cross Lifeguard Cert
This will be a blended learning class. The online portion must be completed prior to the in person class. Participants must be 15 yrs old at the time of certification. Students will receive an email one week before the class with access to the online material. It is expected that every participant will attend class every day for the duration of the course. Arriving late for the course will result in the individual being removed from class. All students will begin the course with the pre-requisites, which consist of the following:
Swimming a 150 yard swim non stop using front crawl and breast stroke or a combination of both, treading water for 2 minutes (no hands) swim 5 yards
Retrieving a 10 lb brick from the bottom of the pool and then swimming the length of the pool with it and climbing out in less than 1 minute and 40 seconds
Please be advised that the lifeguard training is an extensive physical program. Anyone unable to complete the prerequisites is not able to pass the course. It is highly recommended to practice skills before signing up.
