Programs

Have Fun! Swim Fast! The Waves Swim Team is a recreational swim team. Waves consists of weekly practice sessions with instruction in all four competitive strokes, racing starts and turns. We also compete in league swim meets throughout the season. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle. (Face in water with rhythmic breathing) and 25 yards of backstroke.

8 and under:

Will learn the basic foundations of proper competitive swimming strokes while giving swimmers an introduction to practicing in a group setting. They Will also get an introduction to the proper progression of racing starts and flip turns, and competing in a swim meet if ready.

9 and 10's:

Will be introduced to endurance, stroke technique and fun group environment to make sure all swimmers are improving. Swimmers will be focused on developing the four competitive strokes, starts, and turns. While working on drills and kick work. Also competing in swim meets if ready.

11 and over:

Focusing on training, endurance and speed. This age group will train to improve on technique and efficiency in each stroke and build strength and through interval training, drills, and kick work. This age group will also focus on flip turns, starts, and relay starts throughout the season.

Summer Waves Schedule:

All practices and home swim meets will be held at Cornerstone Aquatics.

8 and unders:
Tues and Thursdays '
5:00-6:00 pm

9 and 10's
Mon and Wednesday's
5:00-6:00 pm

11 and up
Monday- Thursday
6:00-7:00pm
